South African Lotto Results
Players purchase their tickets and select six numbers between 1 and 49; there is a prerequisite where random numbers can be generated automatically for those who prefer not to choose their numbers, also known as a 'Quick Pick'.
Six numbered balls are drawn from a set of 49 balls numbered 1 to 49. An additional Bonus Ball is also drawn, which will only affect players who matched five numbers.
Players who match at least three of the six drawn numbers win prizes; prizes increase as the amount of matched numbers increase. If more than one players match the numbers they will win equal shares of the relevant division's jackpot; the odds of winning are 1 in 13,983,816. If no player matches all six numbers, the jackpot is added to that of the next Lotto draw.
