R30 Million Powerball Win Unclaimed
For the past year, somewhere in Pretoria there has been a Powerball ticket floating around that is worth R30 Million and it has never been claimed.
The owner of that ticket now has less than a fortnight to come forward and claim their lotto millions.
A tiny little piece of paper is all it is, it could be down the back of the couch, swept into the ‘junk’ draw, or worse still, perhaps it was thrown out in the trash or accidentally went through the wash, but if it still out there – it must be found!
The ticket was bought for the Powerball draw that took place on 17th August, 2010.
All National Lottery winners have 365 days from the night of the draw to claim their winnings.
Spokesperson for the National Lottery’s Operator, Thembi Tulwana has said that if the jackpot isn’t claimed by 5pm on 17th August, 2011 then the millions will be forfeited.
“It will be used for marketing and other jackpots,” Tulwana said.
They are still hopeful that the winner will come forward and claim the R30 Million and are urging everyone who may have gone in to the August Powerball draw from last year to search everywhere, under everything, in every pocket, in every draw, check all your books, just in case you were using the ticket for a bookmark and never ended up getting to the end.
The winning lottery numbers for the draw were 11, 17, 30, 35, 45 and the Powerball was 20.
Let’s hope we have some good news by the 17th of August and remember to keep your lottery tickets safe at all times. You never know when playing the lottery results in a life changing win.
Isn’t it why we all buy the tickets in the first place; hoping that we will one day win the big one?
Good luck and don’t forget to check back here for your weekly Powerball results.
